CoolGrant is a trading name of RJS & Partners LLP (OC455066), registered at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. RJS & Partners LLP is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

When you use the eligibility checker we store your answers (heating type, tenure, mains-gas status, property type and postcode) together with the result the checker showed you. If you ask CoolGrant to review your result we also store your first name, email and — if you provide it — your phone number.

Why we collect it

To review your quote request, contact you about the next step and, if a suitable option becomes available, ask whether you want an introduction to an MCS-certified installer.

Who we share it with

We do not automatically send your quote-request details to installers. If we identify a suitable installer, we will tell you who they are and ask before sharing your personal details. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

We set a retention-review date when we accept your request. At review we delete or anonymise details that are no longer needed for an active request, a legal obligation or resolving a complaint. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@coolgrant.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and analytics

We use no third-party analytics and set no tracking cookies. We keep aggregate daily counts of checker starts, step completions and result screens shown. Starts and results can be grouped by the first public CoolGrant page in your current browsing journey. We retain no visitor IDs, IP addresses, query strings or external referrers in these counters. If you submit a request, that public source page is saved with your details to help us understand which content helps people contact us. Source-page memory resets when the page reloads; these counts are not unique visitors.
